The podcast “Prossima Fermata Scali Ferroviari“, produced with FS Sistemi Urbani, is just one example of what we can do together. With the lead company of the Urban Hub of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, we created a podcast in 5 episodes, an immersive story in the urban regeneration of Milan’s secondary railway stations, capable of reconciling the company’s history with its commitment to a more sustainable future. And there’s more: for a phygital experience, the podcast was enriched by an exhibition hosted in our Stazione Radio cultural space, an “island among railways” visible to all passengers who travel by train from Milano Centrale.

With the contribution of the Italian Ministry of Culture, we create the podcast “Viaggio in Martesana” to told the historic and natural richness of the Region. 

On our stage-car, we host live events with experts from the world of sustainability and institutional representatives. Our podcasts have also been published on RSI-Rete Svizzera Italiana.

Not just podcasts: with Montura, during Covid, we created all-digital events from the spaces under renovation of Stazione Radio.

Why podcasts

Podcast is much more than a marketing trend: it is a versatile, engaging, and “cozy” medium – and it has a high attention and loyalty rate. Seriality and the use of voice, music and sounds bring the narrator and the listener closer together, creating a relationship. These elements are ideal prerequisites for communicating one’s identity, one’s values ​​and mainly one’s sustainability.

According to Ipsos Digital Audio Survey 2023 data, approximately 11.9 million Italians between the ages of 16 and 60 listen to podcasts, a share equal to 39% (+3% compared to the previous year). This is a younger than average audience, educated, with a high professional level. The profile describes a listener who spreads the word about what they hear, see or read, who consumes responsibly and is curious about technology. Podcast is a medium that knows how to capture attention (57% of listeners finish listening to a podcast once started) and whose strength is seriality (78% of listeners choose a series). The same research also confirmed the benefits of podcasts for brand communication: 78% of users remember listening to advertising messages combined with podcasts; and if the advertising format is slightly decreasing, the recall of branded podcasts is increasing, rising to 35% (+7% compared to the previous year).
